The "interface" of a computer system is the part that you see on the screen; it stands between you and the inner workings of your computer and the Internet.
For you right now, your web browser (usually Internet Explorer or Netscape) is the interface you are using to explore the Internet. It uses helpful common icons (little pictures), like arrow buttons indicating how to move backward through pages you have already seen and then back ahead again.
In creating a website, you have created an interface that people use to explore the files and pictures you created about your company and your products. Have you created a usable interface?
Or have you created something that will frustrate your prospective customers, an interface that they cannot use easily? A usability expert can tell you with a website evaluation with usability testing.
